The government pays private companies like Aetna to provide you with the same or even more benefits than Original Medicare (Part A and Part B), including affordable copay and coinsurance amounts when you use network doctors and hospitals. These are known as Medicare Advantage plans. You can choose Aetna Medicare Advantage plans with two types of coverage for a low, or no, monthly plan premium in addition to your Medicare Part B premium:  

Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans cover Medicare Part A and B benefits (hospital and medical insurance) and more, including vision and/or hearing. These are all HMO plans. Aetna Medicare Advantage Plans with Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (MAPD) cover Medicare Part A and B benefits (hospitals and medical services) and more, including Part D prescription medications. You have one convenient plan, with one ID card. You can choose an HMO or (PPO) plan.

Aetna Medicare is an HMO/PPO/PDP plan with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in Aetna Medicare depends on contract renewal.
